A Predictive Control Strategy for Energy Management in Micro-Grid Systems

The integration of renewable energy sources (RES) was amplified, during the past decades, in order to tackle challenges related demands and CO2 increases. Recently, many initiatives have been taken by promoting deployment usage micro-grids (MG) buildings, as decentralized systems, for production. However, variable nature RESs limited size storage systems require adaptive control strategies efficient balance. In this paper, a generalized predictive (GPC) strategy is introduced management (EM) MG systems. Its main objective efficiently connect electricity generators consumers predict most suitable actions flow management. fact, based on production consumption profiles well availability proposed EM will be able select best source supplying building’s loads. It manage utility grid while maximizing power generation. Simulations conducted, using real-sitting scenarios, results are presented validate approach showing its effectiveness control.
